Michael & Lauren’s story began back in 2018. They first met online, and after a very memorable first date that stretched for four hours (!), it became clear that something special was brewing. Like so many couples of the modern era, Alvin and Priya first met online. But as a couple, they very much enjoy exploring San Francisco and beyond offline, urban and nature alike (see their Mt. Jenny & Brian’s Winery Wedding at Viansa Sonoma

Almost two years ago, we geared up and hid in the (mostly figurative) bushes at Stow Lake to capture Brian asking Jenny for her hand in marriage (see proposal photos here!). We’re so happy to have now followed their story to their wedding day! Although some changes had to be made due to COVID-19 — like so many weddings this year, the original plan was for a much larger gathering — it only ended up making their winery wedding at Viansa Sonoma feel even more warm and intimate. Erik & Sherrie’s Cessna “Emergency Landing” Airport Runway Proposal

I think Erik wins the award for the most meticulously-planned and perfectly-executed proposal we’ve ever seen. There were just so many moving pieces: the friends who brought Sherrie along for the airplane ride, the airport where they landed, Sherrie’s boss who was in on the plan all along, and even yours truly, the photographers. Erik quietly worked it all out, rehearsing the flight path a few times and juggling multiple unplanned schedule changes, and the result was the sweetest and most perfect proposal.
