Sam’s proposal was a very special one. Sure, the Sausalito Bridgeway promenade is a very picturesque spot, great for a romantic walk along the Bay, but it was also much more than that: decades ago, Sam’s dad proposed at the same spot! I really love it when our couples incorporate such meaningful and personal things like that 🙂 And Christina’s reaction was so cute when she realized we were there snapping photos of the proposal, which you can see in the photos below. She was so excited that her hands were still shaking even while we were doing portraits afterwards! Congrats guys!

Viral had a romantic evening planned for Shital while she was in town visiting him for the long weekend — a quick sightseeing trip up to Battery Spencer to take a few selfies overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, followed by a nice dinner in Sausalito. E & E’s surprise proposal was the works! He had hired Captain Larry (Just Dreaming Yacht) for a private cruise on the San Francisco Bay with them and six of their close friends. What an incredible way to propose! The afternoon was an extra fun one for us as well — we arrived a bit early to don crew uniforms, complete with nametags reading “Eric” and “Marie” which would be our identities for the first half of the trip until the surprise was revealed. After making the rounds with Lauren & Zach through the Presidio and shooting some of their save-the-date photos along the way, we sped across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito to catch the sunset at Rodeo Beach. It’s their favorite beach for a getaway picnic and the view is just stunning! We had such a wonderful time with this beautiful couple and are so happy we had the chance to work with them. Join us in congratulating them on their upcoming wedding next year!

We shot Lauren & Rob’s engagement photos on New Year’s Day 2016, and what a great coincidence — New Year’s Day is when they had first started dating! We went to Muir Woods, which is such a gorgeous wooded grove, and even though it was packed, we managed to avoid the crowd and got some beautiful photos on our hike along the trail.
