In between all the weddings and proposals during this busy summer, it’s nice to have a change of pace shooting fun photos with an adorable baby! For baby Aasmi’s first birthday, her parents set up a picnic complete with cute pastel-colored props and a beautiful cake for her to dig into, and she had lots of fun with it 🙂 Happy birthday Aasmi!

Simran had been planning his romantic Labor Day weekend surprise to his girlfriend Amita for more than a month, and contacted us after deciding on the San Jose Rose Garden. The Rose Garden is really great this time of year, as it’s covered with flowers of all colors in full bloom. The couple strolled through the garden taking lots of flower photos (Amita had actually gotten a new camera!) while we followed loosely behind. When the time came, under the soft sunset light, Simran got down on his knee and popped the question! Congrats you two — you’re too cute!

We came with Sue & Bryan to Uvas Canyon County Park a couple of months ago for their engagement photos, but our second meeting was for something more special — their wedding. Meet one-week-old Vivian! She is such a great little model with a good temper and she sure knows how to smile at the camera! Bonnie and Judson were constantly amazed by Vivian’s daily change. Let’s see… Vivian lost her umbilical stump to reveal her new belly button on the day of the photo shoot, and she had just learned to put fingers (sometime her whole little hand) into her mouth and make funny sounds with it. She has so many facial expressions and I got some really cute ones!

Bonnie and Jud’s puppy, Miss Georgia, joined us at the end of the session and she was soooo happy but very gentle towards Vivian — it melted my heart! She gave out lots of sweet kisses and we got some great family pictures for the four of them 🙂

Kurt & Sumi tied the knot last month at the New Alamaden Mining Museum with Casa Grande as the backdrop. Their ceremony took place by the old mining shaft, and afterwards they had lawn games and snacks for the guests to enjoy. We loved the pretty sunflowers, and the desserts at the reception were especially cute! Kurt himself is actually into landscape photography, and all the guest tables were labeled with a placard printed with beautiful landscape photos he had taken! Congrats to Kurt & Sumi, and we wish you two a happy and fully caffeinated marriage!! 😀
