I feel like some photo shoots are already over just as we’re barely getting started — and this was definitely one of them. Tegan and Joseph met up with me at the Ruby Hill Winery (aka Casa Real) last week for some fall vineyard engagement photos. Bajis and Michelle’s wedding was a perfect day — elegantly styled, warmly personal, and thoughtfully socially-distanced. Even in hindsight, it’s almost unbelievable that this whole event was put together in a month and a half, after their first two venues and plans didn’t work out due to the pandemic. In addition to the family & friends who attended in person, a wider audience joined in on Zoom to celebrate together virtually. All in all, while on its surface it had the hallmarks of a 2020 wedding, at its core, Michelle and Bajis’s intimate wedding at The Club at Ruby Hill was a most timeless celebration of love and union. I loved how Amanda and Petrus’s Casa Real wedding was filled from beginning to end with tons of little moments that made this day uniquely theirs. We’d been excitedly looking forward to Will & Sam’s wedding for over a year now. Ever since their proposal at the Palace of Fine Arts here in San Francisco and engagement session at UCLA where they first met (and I think that’s the farthest from home we’ve ever been for an engagement shoot!), we couldn’t have been more excited for their wedding day at The Club at Ruby Hill.
