Lynn & Tony’s San Francisco Engagement Photos

Lynn & Tony’s San Francisco engagement photos at a very foggy Potrero Hill are probably some of our favorites ever, especially with Lynn rocking her beautiful blue dress… and that location wasn’t even in our original plan!

I met up with Lynn & Tony at San Francisco City Hall a week and a half ago for the first part of their engagement photos. I always like to start at City Hall late in the afternoon when it’s less crowded, before moving on to outdoor locations to catch the setting sun. Meanwhile, David was on his computer anxiously checking the ever-changing weather forecast, fog maps, and various webcams, trying to figure out how the skies were going to look for the outdoor portion of the shoot. As Karl the Fog blanketed the city and the prospect of a warm sunset slipped away, we quickly decided to make a detour to Potrero Hill — and I’m super glad we did. This is one of the few places in the city where rather than just consuming everything in its path, the fog can actually add a positive dimension to the scene!

We eventually made our way to our original destination of Marshall’s Beach, and although the fog was thick, our photos still turned out pretty cool. (No pun intended. It was actually literally really cold, but that didn’t slow them down at all!) Lynn & Tony are getting married this fall and we can’t wait to see them again for their wedding!
