Amy and David’s engagement session was relaxed, fun, and perhaps most of all, beautiful! We had initially planned on starting at Pier 7 and then heading over to Sutro Baths for sunset, but alas, the weather that day wasn’t meant to be. The fog over Richmond/Sunset remained thick through the afternoon, so we flipped our shoot around to start by the oceanside and catch sunset at the Embarcadero waterfront instead, where the sun was still peeking out over the clouds.

Nancy and Alvin were my very last couple of the decade! We met up for their engagement photos at City Hall at the very end of 2019, and although it was packed tight with lots of couples getting married before the new year, we found some great empty spaces to shoot in. [ read more … ]

Kevin wanted to choose the perfect setting for his proposal, and he quietly teased out Maria’s choice of location in the weeks leading up to the big day. Eventually, he picked a spot in front of the Bay Bridge near Cupid’s Span for the perfect Embarcadero proposal. [ read more … ]

Bruce and Hannah are cute, lovey, and total goofballs. We felt like the two of us had a lot in common with them (mostly the goofy part), and I think it helped make for a perfect engagement shoot! We started off at Gott’s Roadside at the Ferry Building, as food is a big part of their lives and they often like to spend time with each other there. (Side note: the garlic fries there are sooooooo good!) We kept it super casual and had a lot of fun, and I love the way their silly personalities light up in these. [ read more … ]

Sindy & Gabe wanted some night-time Embarcadero pier engagement photos, so we scheduled their session right through the sunset so we could be there after nightfall. I loved their interactions with each other – so warm and intimate, and such a joy to photograph. As the colorful dusk sky faded and the San Francisco cityscape started twinkling with lights, we walked down the pier for a couple of really special night photos, and I’m excited to share some of them with you!
