Though Chelsea and Matt live on the east coast now, she used to live in the Bay Area and he’d fly out to visit often. On a trip to Tennessee together a few weeks ago, Matt secretly asked Chelsea’s parents for permission, and then waited for the perfect moment to ask her for her hand in marriage — with the ring that he had been hiding for two months. Krista and Cale are officially tying the knot next summer, and let me just say that they are going to be one stunning couple. Despite the cold and windy day, she absolutely rocked her gorgeous pastel coral dress and that beautiful deep blue dress! And I have to say that Cale, aside from being quite the handsome fellow himself, was probably the most enthusiastic groom-to-be I’ve ever worked with — so eager to jump into whatever pose we asked for, and always with a huge enthusiastic smile. Though they’ve been together for seven years and are technically already engaged, Harjot knew he was missing something: a proper proposal for his future wife. After shopping for wedding outfits in the East Bay, the two went over to the Palace of Fine Arts for a walk under the rotunda and around the lagoon, then made their way over to the tree that has become such a popular spot for photos. Harjot got down on one knee, gave the proposal Zeenia deserved, and presented her with a beautiful ring. I loved the thoughtfulness that went into this, and seeing the pure happiness on both of their faces was perfect. Congrats to Harjot & Zeenia!

My second favorite thing about being a photographer, right after getting to witness life’s happy moments for amazing couples, is constantly visiting beautiful new places. The Cypress Tree Tunnel at the Point Reyes National Seashore has been a sight I’ve been wanting to see for ages, so imagine my excitement when I heard from Joey!
