On a sunny Thursday afternoon, Mike and Kirsten made a stop at Treasure Island before setting off on their Fourth of July weekend roadtrip. Unbeknownst to Kirsten, Mike had actually dropped by here earlier to scope out a spot for his proposal and to coordinate with us. David wanted an outdoor spot with a great view for his proposal to Felicia, and after considering some beautiful spots as far north as Point Reyes and as far south as Santa Cruz, he ended up deciding on a Slackers Hill proposal. There’s really no better place to capture the essence of the Bay Area than here, with its amazing view from high up in the Marin Headlands overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, and much of the Bay. Surprise proposals are always so special to us, and some are uniquely distinctive in a way that makes them extra memorable. Last weekend, Scott decided to propose to his girlfriend Briana at Bernal Heights, a significant location for them since it’s right next to their home in San Francisco.

Treasure Island has always been one of my favorite places for photos, yet it’s often underappreciated and overlooked. It offers a beautiful view of both the San Francisco city skyline and the Bay Bridge, and the sunset colors are just amazing.
