During our first phone call, Derek was bubbling with excitement and I immediately knew their proposal would be a great moment. I had SUCH a fun session with Christian and Sonia! We met at the Bi-Rite Creamery and got some ice cream to kick off the fun. We then walked to Dolores Park where there must have been a thousand people crowded under the warm sunlight. We took a detour (ahem!) across a fence, and found a perfect spot in a quiet section with just the three of us. Perfect time for some champagne! Tammy and Chris are an adorable and loving couple, and we felt very relaxed working around them. Even with the wind at 27mph on a very chilly day, the two stayed calm and cheerful for the entire two hours, and I’m amazed that, while I was freezing inside my coat, Tammy was able to pull off that look with her gorgeous short dress. Ah the unpredictable San Francisco weather! As I was driving to Amra and Can’s engagement session, I thought to myself, “maybe this session will have to be rescheduled” because the fog was so thick that I could barely see anything on the road. However, my bold couple gladly accepted this challenge and they amazingly turned this foggy engagement session into a woodland romance story! Love these pics!

On a warmly-lit autumn afternoon, this lovely pair took a walk down Pier 7 at the Embarcadero where they had their first date. Weston & Laura now live in Austin, but first met in San Francisco so the city, and this pier especially, hold a special meaning to them.

Weston had prepared a great trip for the two of them — first a trip to Paris, where Laura must have kept wondering, “Is he going to propose? Is he going to do it?”; then a trip to SF where he popped the question (and where she said YES); and finally, a surprise trip to visit her family and share the great news. [ read more … ]
