Josephine & Jonathan’s wedding was an amazing, memorable celebration that we enjoyed absolutely every moment of. Their day started off at the Palace Hotel, where J&J shared a poignant set of private vows in the room, just the two of them, and it set the tone for everything that followed. From there we headed to Golden Gate Park, where we got caught some warm sunshine for photos in the Shakespeare Garden, before heading over to their wedding at the California Academy of Sciences. We even got to roam the living roof for portraits, which we’ve never had access to before, so shooting here with the wind lifting Josephine’s veil and the round skylights dotting the hillside was both a surprise and a delight! Jorge and Fernanda flew in from Mexico with one big plan: a sunset Slackers Hill proposal overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline, two of the most beautiful sights that California has to offer. September often brings coastal fog, but the winds were fully with them for this occasion: not only was there beautiful sunset light at Slackers Hill, but just enough fog built up in the distance to give us an almost surreal backdrop. Greg and Morgan celebrated their engagement at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, with an elegant backdrop of white marble and stately columns that fit the moment perfectly. Alec proposed to Sarah on Pier 7 — fittingly, almost exactly on their seven-year anniversary — with the SF downtown skyline sparkling behind them. As an event planner by profession, he took his time to thoughtfully orchestrate all the details in advance. Jihan & Catherine chose one of San Francisco’s most iconic spaces for their just-them (plus a few favorite people) celebration, a San Francisco City Hall private elopement. Catherine’s sleek white dress and Jihan’s classic black-and-white look felt right at home among the classic architecture, while pops of celebratory red from their families added some contrast to the scene.
