Maylene & Alejandro | Classic Fairmont Pittsburgh Hotel Wedding

Annie and I flew to the east coast last month for Maylene & Alejandro’s Fairmont Pittsburgh hotel wedding. That weekend marked many “firsts” for us (we had never been to Pennsylvania!), but the biggest one is that it was our first time photographing a close friend’s wedding. We normally get to know all of our couples pretty well by the time we show up on their wedding day, but it’s really a different experience to look through the lens and focus on every expression, every smile, and every tear for someone we’ve known for half our lives… and I’m so glad we did it!

Traci & Alex’s Elliston Vineyards Wedding | Sunol Wedding Photographer

Traci & Alex’s Elliston Vineyards wedding was a blast. We’ve really enjoyed getting to know them as a couple, and my favorite part of their story was how Alex proposed to Traci at the top of Half Dome!! Chung & Justin | CuriOdyssey Wedding at Coyote Point

Chung & Justin’s wedding absolutely amazed me. Everything was DIY — the escort cards, adorable ceremony decorations, paper cranes, aquatic centerpieces, and dozens of cute little green potted paper succulents for wedding favors. Even the wedding party’s bouquets and boutonnieres were picked from the couple’s garden and hand-crafted! It was all so well-made and put together, and most importantly, it reflected the two of them as a couple. [ read more … ]
