These two college sweethearts, now living in Hong Kong, took a trip back to California a couple of weeks ago. For their engagement photos, we walked around Foothills College where they first met and got some really cute shots in a classroom and around campus. Rudy and Sophie’s story goes back several years to before Rudy was a student at Stanford. When Annie and I met Rudy a couple days before he proposed, he described Sophie as the special one who helped drive his current ambitions and gave him the motivation to pursue graduate studies at Stanford, so it was only appropriate that he proposed to her on campus. On the morning of the big day, he came by to drop off some roses and champagne with us, and we brought those to Stanford Memorial Church along with speakers to play his special request — Endless Love by Lionel Ritchie & Diana Ross. We recently had the pleasure to work with Jizhe and Jin for their pre-wedding photos. We started off at Stanford University, where Jin goes to school, and a few of their friends even came to keep them company and cheer them on. Then we headed to San Francisco to shoot at both ends of the Golden Gate Bridge, at Crissy Field, Cavallo Point, and the Marin Headlands. Although these spots were packed with crowds of people that weekend, there was nothing some strategic shooting and editing couldn’t fix 🙂 We got a ton of great photos!

Merry Christmas everyone!

We met Sarah and Chris back in May and they are a super sweet couple, so we were really excited to be at their wedding. On that beautiful Saturday, I joined the girls at their bridal suite at the Stanford Park Hotel, while David went to the Church of the Nativity to prepare for shooting the ceremony. We also went with them to take a few pictures at their school, Stanford. The outdoor reception was held at Ladera Oaks Swim & Tennis Club which is quite a nice reception venue. The best man and maid of honor gave great speeches which were both emotional and hilarious, and the guests really enjoyed them — see the pics below! Later that night, the newlyweds cut the cake with a sword… yes, a sword.
