It’s rare that we meet our couples in person before a surprise proposal… and for obvious reasons, we almost never meet the proposee. But not this time — we met both Urmil and Janet just a month before their proposal! We were all up in Point Reyes for their friends Huy and Vivian’s proposal, and Urmil & Janet were both in on the secret plan that day. (You can see them in the group photo at the end!) Little did Janet know that roles would reverse soon… [ read more … ]
Bob got in touch with me late last year for his upcoming proposal. He had a vision of a nighttime surprise proposal in the backyard of the house he and Kristin had recently bought, and he even sent over inspiration photos and a detailed document showing and describing how the setup would look. I was super excited to capture this moment for the two of them, and his plan finally came to fruition last weekend.
With the help of a wonderful lighting & decor crew, Bob had set up his backyard to look absolutely stunning. We thought his original vision was great, but the real thing was 10x better! [ read more … ]
You know when you meet a couple and you just click? Adam and Anna were definitely that couple. We loved hearing their proposal story: Anna’s family has a long beekeeping tradition, and prior to the proposal, Adam worked with her parents to create their own batch of honey. He then proposed with jars of their honey right in Anna’s parents’ backyard, and as if that wasn’t “sweet” enough, Anna proposed right back with a ring she had been hiding! [ read more … ]
Another round of the Norwoods’ yearly family photos — how time flies! This year Peter and Jeanette decided to have the photos taken right at home. The landscaping in their backyard was done right before we had their session, and what a beautiful place they had, both inside and out!! And my favorite little model, Aaron, simply rocked this session again!
Sara and Michael held their beautiful backyard wedding at Sara’s mom’s lovely house in South San Francisco. I can’t think of a more meaningful way for the couple to celebrate their memorable day than to be surrounded by all their close friends and family in the home where the bride grew up. You’ll have to see it to believe it — with the help of family and friends, they turned their humble abode into a romantic and stunning wedding venue! The colorful floral arrangements, the amazing assorted cakes(!!!), the handwritten wedding signs, and the romantic twinkle cafe lights all came together to make this wedding special and FULL of love! And beyond that, what made this wedding truly unique were the personal touches: the wedding rings, handcrafted by Michael’s father with a diamond passed down through the family; the surprise musical performance by the family; and even Michael’s great Darth Vader Star Wars tie! Browse their wedding photos below and join us in wishing them a happy lifetime together!
