Golden hour in San Francisco, especially in the autumn and winter months, is always a dream to shoot in. This time more than any, I really love shooting in open spaces that let me fully take advantage of the golden light. I had a great time hitting a few different spots with Angela and Rafferty for their golden hour engagement shoot, and the long grass and sand dunes at Ocean Beach are especially perfect under the warm sunset glow! One of our favorite things to do for engagement shoots is to explore new places with our couples. Mt. Tam isn’t exactly a new spot for us per se, but it’s also not somewhere we visit often, making every trip there a treat. I feel like some photo shoots are already over just as we’re barely getting started — and this was definitely one of them. Tegan and Joseph met up with me at the Ruby Hill Winery (aka Casa Real) last week for some fall vineyard engagement photos. The autumn colors in the vineyards are absolutely beautiful this time of year, and the golden hour sunset light falling on T&J was perfect.
