On a sunny Thursday afternoon, Mike and Kirsten made a stop at Treasure Island before setting off on their Fourth of July weekend roadtrip. Unbeknownst to Kirsten, Mike had actually dropped by here earlier to scope out a spot for his proposal and to coordinate with us. We met Trang & Jordan for the first time a year and a half ago at Twin Peaks, where he brought her after work for a special surprise: after a quick walk towards the lookout, Jordan got down on one knee and asked a surprised and elated Trang to marry him. Treasure Island has always been one of my favorite places for photos, yet it’s often underappreciated and overlooked. It offers a beautiful view of both the San Francisco city skyline and the Bay Bridge, and the sunset colors are just amazing. Steve and Emily met five years ago at The Grand, a nightclub that Steve describes as “the San Francisco Asian American landmark.” Steve had gone with Simon, a friend he had just met at work, and Simon decided that they’d go talk to some girls at the club.
