This is an engagement shoot that we won’t be forgetting anytime soon — and neither will Jenny & Kelly, I’m sure. It was a coooold day with 20+mph ocean winds, and even with the jacket that Jenny put on to warm up between shots, it’s a wonder nobody turned into a popsicle! It’s actually hard to describe just how crazy the wind was; when Jenny and Kelly arrived and parked at the top of Sutro Baths, they found us crouched at the base of a bush in the corner of the parking lot, trying to hide from the wind for just a few seconds longer…

I had the joy of spending an afternoon with Khin and John to create a set of stunning engagement photos for them in these iconic San Francisco locations. We started at Baker Beach, where they had brought along a cute picnic setup and a save-the-date sign, and then ended at Sutro Baths for sunset. Golden hour in San Francisco, especially in the autumn and winter months, is always a dream to shoot in. This time more than any, I really love shooting in open spaces that let me fully take advantage of the golden light. I had a great time hitting a few different spots with Angela and Rafferty for their golden hour engagement shoot, and the long grass and sand dunes at Ocean Beach are especially perfect under the warm sunset glow!
