Liz and Chris originally planned on having their photos taken at Ravenswood Historic Site in Livermore, but due to their early closing hours we changed our location to Pacifica State Beach. And I’m so glad we did because we got REALLY lucky that day — I’ve never seen Pacifica State Beach this empty before, as we were literally the only three people there that got to enjoy the gorgeous sunset that day! On a warmly-lit autumn afternoon, this lovely pair took a walk down Pier 7 at the Embarcadero where they had their first date. Weston & Laura now live in Austin, but first met in San Francisco so the city, and this pier especially, hold a special meaning to them.

Weston had prepared a great trip for the two of them — first a trip to Paris, where Laura must have kept wondering, “Is he going to propose? Is he going to do it?”; then a trip to SF where he popped the question (and where she said YES); and finally, a surprise trip to visit her family and share the great news. [ read more … ]

Originally from Texas, Krysten came to California and fell in love with Kevin, the first cowboy that she met here. Before moving back to Texas, they decided to take some engagement photos here at Thornton Beach. David and I had a ton of fun shooting with Krysten & Kevin and we think the photos really show who they truly are as a couple: some football on the beach followed by a super fun powder paint fight, a western theme with a cowboy hat and boots, and finally some gorgeous ocean sunset photos. Such a sweet and energetic couple!

Austin and Brittany planned a destination wedding (in Mexico!!), and wanted to have their save-the-date/engagement photos taken near the Golden Gate Bridge. We drove along the windy road near Battery Spencer up to the top with the tunnels where Austin proposed, then headed back to Baker Beach to run around and bury our feet in the sand.
