This sweet couple flew all the way from their home in Calgary to San Francisco — where they had their first date four years ago. We had gotten so used to seeing the summer fog, and the especially-thick cover earlier that week, that when we arrived at Baker Beach to capture I&J’s proposal, the sight of the Golden Gate Bridge actually felt strange. It was as if the bridge was painted or didn’t belong there. And the sunset that night was nothing short of amazing, with its golden glow accentuating the color of the bridge. [ read more … ]

In between all our late-summer weddings and surprise proposals, we had the pleasure of hanging out with Renate and Keith’s family at the beautiful Montara State Beach. Back in the spring, we had donated a family photo session to the Ocean Shore School here in Pacifica for their fundraising auction, and this sweet family won our photo session. Being avid hikers, Jeremy and Nicole took advantage of their trip to the Bay Area to find some new spots to explore. The Linda Mar Beach/Pacifica State Beach is one of my favorite spots around here, so I’m really glad Jeremy liked my suggestion! It’s a pretty easy trail which goes up along a cliff facing the Pacific Ocean and offers beautiful views of the beach and ocean down below. Jeremy led his future wife to an overlook at the edge of the cliff before dropping down on one knee, giving them a beautiful backdrop for the proposal. [ read more … ]

Flying in all the way from New York, Daven & Anisa visited our beautiful city of San Francisco for a weekend trip. After a long, relaxing walk along Baker Beach in the presence of calm, soothing waves and the ever-present Karl the Fog, the couple took a selfie and then turned towards the Golden Gate Bridge. While Anisa was still facing the bridge, Daven pulled out the ring and got down on one knee behind her. When she turned around, the surprise and joy on her face was priceless! [ read more … ]
