Frank & Marlo’s Grace Cathedral and Fairmont San Francisco wedding was a classy, beautiful black-tie event, reflecting a lot from their own personalities. The two first met a few years ago through mutual friends, and they quickly grew close, with Frank proposing last year on a night Marlo describes as being one she will never forget. I loved the uniqueness and personality that Antoinette & Remy weaved into their wedding day at the Point Reyes Station Dance Palace. I’ll start with their wedding ceremony, one of my favorites and perhaps most memorable to date. A&R would have loved to have their cats play the role of flower girl and ring bearer, but I think we can probably imagine how that would have played out. Annie and I flew to the east coast last month for Maylene & Alejandro’s Fairmont Pittsburgh hotel wedding. That weekend marked many “firsts” for us (we had never been to Pennsylvania!), but the biggest one is that it was our first time photographing a close friend’s wedding. We normally get to know all of our couples pretty well by the time we show up on their wedding day, but it’s really a different experience to look through the lens and focus on every expression, every smile, and every tear for someone we’ve known for half our lives… and I’m so glad we did it!
