A romantic row boat surprise proposal is definitely one of the more unique proposal ideas we’ve seen, and David chose an absolutely picture-perfect setting at Stow Lake (especially with the stone arch bridge in the background!) for his proposal to his girlfriend Evelyn. Being on a rowboat is particularly perfect for a proposal because of its private and serene nature, as after all, there’s nobody else on the boat. This lovely couple planned their engagement together, in order to craft a memory that would be perfect for both of them. Both Bay Area natives, they wanted this special moment to be at a very meaningful place: at Lake Del Valle, the site of one of their very first dates six years prior. Tigran & Anastasiya’s Skywriting Proposal on the San Francisco Bay
Love is in the air — quite literally! One of the most unique and spectacular ways to propose is to write it out in the air through skywriting, in huge mile-high letters where everyone can see from miles around. Tigran had arranged for a pilot to spell out “Nastya marry me” high over the Golden Gate Bridge (Nastya being the short form of his fiancee’s name) while they were visiting SF from out of town.
