Chad & Olivia’s Marriage Proposal at Mile Rock Beach

Chad & Olivia’s Mile Rock Beach marriage proposal was one of those sessions that felt extra meaningful right from the start. Not just because the sunset was showing off (it absolutely was), but because this beach holds a piece of their story and continues it.

Even though they don’t live in the Bay Area anymore, Mile Rock Beach is one of those special places tied to their memories from years past. So when Chad decided it was time to make things official, he wanted to come back here to the rocky shoreline, the ocean breeze, and that familiar stretch of sand tucked beneath the cliffs.

This time though, they brought along a new member of the family to join in on the big moment. When they arrived at the beach, Olivia and Chad settled in and enjoyed a relaxing time with their baby daughter S, letting her explore the sand and rocks as the light grew softer and softer. And then, when the sunlight reached the perfect golden glow, Chad gently led Olivia closer to the waterline, and dropped to one knee.

Olivia’s immediate reaction was of course pure joy, and it didn’t take long to turn into laughter, hugs, and kisses, with the waves rolling behind them and their daughter looking on.

Afterwards, we leaned into the sweetness of the moment and turned it into a little family photo session with snuggles, playful smiles, and the last moments of sunset wrapping around the three of them. It was equal parts engagement and family milestone, one that I’m sure will be appreciated even more in the years to come!
