Beau & Sadie’s Monarch Cove Inn Wedding | Bay Area Wedding Photographer

On a gorgeous autumn day in Capitola, Beau and Sadie tied the knot at Monarch Cove Inn, the perfect venue for their intimate garden wedding by the ocean.

Sadie and Beau are big fans of Burning Man and they had made a group of super fun friends there. Beau used to carry a huge spoon to parties and would talk friends into drinking by saying, “It’s just a spoonful!” Sadly, that original big spoon eventually broke, so their friends got them a new gigantic spoon as a wedding gift and seeing everyone drinking out of the spoon was definitely a huge hit at their reception!! Krysten & Kevin’s Beach Paint Fight Engagement Photos | Bay Area Engagement Photographer

Originally from Texas, Krysten came to California and fell in love with Kevin, the first cowboy that she met here. Before moving back to Texas, they decided to take some engagement photos here at Thornton Beach. David and I had a ton of fun shooting with Krysten & Kevin and we think the photos really show who they truly are as a couple: some football on the beach followed by a super fun powder paint fight, a western theme with a cowboy hat and boots, and finally some gorgeous ocean sunset photos. Such a sweet and energetic couple!

Ashley & Paul’s Wedding at Oceano Hotel | Half Moon Bay Wedding Photographer

Ashley and Paul held their wedding at Oceano Hotel & Spa, one of my favorite wedding venues in the Bay Area. Their navy blue and yellow themed wedding was a gorgeous affair, and the color coordination could be seen throughout the wedding, from the bridesmaid dresses to the floral arrangement, from their wedding cake to the centerpieces. AND, the Irish band at their dance party was definitely a hit! [ read more … ]

Austin & Brittany’s Beach Sunset Engagement Photos

Austin and Brittany planned a destination wedding (in Mexico!!), and wanted to have their save-the-date/engagement photos taken near the Golden Gate Bridge. We drove along the windy road near Battery Spencer up to the top with the tunnels where Austin proposed, then headed back to Baker Beach to run around and bury our feet in the sand. Luck was with us, and instead of a typically foggy summer day in San Francisco, we got a stunningly beautiful sky!! [ read more … ]

Catherine & Ryan’s Save-the-Date Photos at Baker Beach | San Francisco Portrait Photographer

Ryan followed Catherine to California from Omaha over a year ago. He just moved back to Omaha the weekend after our photo shoot, and this time, Catherine will follow him there. They decided to have their save-the-date photos taken at Baker Beach to document their wonderful journey together here in the Bay Area. The day was a little overcast which made Catherine’s dress color pop in the photos (really pretty!) AND more importantly, we got the whole beach completely to ourselves and got some great shots!
