Sometimes, you just have to go for it. We rescheduled Erica & Andrew’s pre-wedding shoot very, very last-minute because our original date was looking super rainy. This photo shoot has been a loooooong time in the making! We first met with Scarlet & Anthony at the end of 2019 — back in the Before Times when it was still normal to meet people face-to-face — and together we happily talked about their May 2020 wedding day. Dom & Mae said their vows and tied the knot earlier this month with a tiny elopement. And in the midst of this global pandemic, the logistics were actually quite difficult! There was almost no place in the Bay Area to have a ceremony, so they went down to Santa Cruz. Although coronavirus-related restrictions kept me from documenting the ceremony itself, I’m so glad I got the opportunity to meet up with them afterwards for some outdoor elopement portraits in San Francisco and create these memories of their wedding day. Jay & Jenny originally wanted to start off their shoot at City Hall — but when we got there, we found that the building had just been evacuated and was closed for the day! So we quickly took a few photos outside, and then headed over to the other side of the city. It ended up working out really well, and they totally rocked these Legion of Honor pre-wedding photos!
