Jeremy & Lydia’s Golden Hour Surprise Proposal on Hiking Trail

Jeremy & Lydia’s evening in the Santa Cruz Mountains had all the magic: rolling grassy hills, a sea of fog in the distance, and the kind of light that turns everything to gold. They set out as a group of three — Lydia’s sister joined “for a quick hike” — and meandered along the ridge until the views opened wide over the foothills and forest.

At a quiet bend, with the most perfect backdrop behind them, Jeremy paused for a moment and knelt down for his proposal on the hiking trail, right there beneath the open sky. Lydia’s face lit up with smiles and tears as the moment sank in. Their timing could not have been better! The sun dipped into the hills, covering them in a true golden hour glow while her sister rushed over to cheer and celebrate.

We spent a few more minutes taking some more photos, letting the hills and pastel sky do their thing, and then as we left to head home, snapped one more photo of Lydia admiring her new shiny ring 🙂 Congrats J&L!
