Quincy & Kim’s Hawaiian Themed Wedding in Half Moon Bay
Quincy & Kim’s wedding felt like a little slice of Hawaii tucked onto the cliffs of Half Moon Bay. We first met them on the ocean bluffs of Davenport when Quincy proposed, so getting to photograph this next chapter of their story by the water again felt extra special.
From the start, the day was intentionally simple and centered on family. There was no formal bridal party, just Kim and Quincy getting ready with a few loved ones and plenty of laughter. Almost everything you see in these photos was created by them and their community: the florals, decor, hair and makeup were all lovingly DIY’d by family and friends, which made the whole celebration feel even more personal.
Their ceremony overlooked the ocean, with warm golden-hour light drifting in on the sea breeze, making it a perfect setting for them to say “I do.” Later at the reception, Kim surprised everyone with a beautiful hula performance that had the whole room cheering. And when it came time for the parent dances, the emotions really hit. Kim and her dad swayed to an original song performed live by her uncle, while Quincy’s dance with his mom was equally moving and heartfelt. Those two dances ended up being some of our favorite moments of the entire night.
As the sun dipped lower, guests mingled and danced, and the evening settled into a perfect blend of cozy and carefree. It was warm, relaxed, and joyful from beginning to end — exactly the kind of day that fits Quincy & Kim. Congratulations you two!
