Engagement photos are a time to get a great set of professional photos, but they can also be an opportunity to relive memories — and even to create new ones. So we love it when we have engagement shoots at personally meaningful locations! Eric and Cory’s first date was at Stanford, and for their engagement photos, we started at the cactus garden and then moved onto main campus. The golden glow of the setting sun provided a perfect feel for this shoot; it was like a materialization of the warmth and love between them and gave these photos a look that perfectly matched the feeling of our hour together. This lovely couple planned their engagement together, in order to craft a memory that would be perfect for both of them. Both Bay Area natives, they wanted this special moment to be at a very meaningful place: at Lake Del Valle, the site of one of their very first dates six years prior. We worked with them to plan out the perfect timing and itinerary to document their actual engagement as well as to capture some fun photos afterwards under the golden sunset light at Del Valle Regional Park. Chimney Rock is the very western tip of the Point Reyes cape, extending way out into the Pacific Ocean, and it offers beautiful coastal cliff views in every direction.
