Michael & Samantha’s Palace of Fine Arts Golden Sunset Proposal

There are few places in San Francisco that catch golden hour quite like the Palace of Fine Arts, and Michael knew exactly what he wanted for his proposal to Samantha. He had envisioned a golden sunset proposal with warm evening light spilling through the dome behind them, so we planned the timing carefully. He arrived with Samantha right on schedule, and the light couldn’t have been more perfect.

What she didn’t know was that there was an entire cheering section hiding nearby. Their parents waited quietly around the corner, and as Michael got down on one knee, they slowly crept closer to watch the moment unfold. Samantha’s reaction was so sweet and emotional, and as soon as she said yes, everyone finally emerged from hiding to surprise her all over again!

We spent some time celebrating with their families, taking photos together and having fun with a few props they had brought along. Afterwards, we kept Michael and Samantha for a few portraits of just the two of them.

Throughout all of this, the sun was pouring through the Palace of Fine Arts exactly as Michael had envisioned, wrapping everything in the most beautiful golden glow. It was the perfect ending to such a joyful evening, and we’re so happy we got to capture it all. Congratulations, Michael and Samantha!
