Shooting a wedding at Yosemite has been on our bucket list for a while now, and Katherine & Chris gave us our wish earlier this month — and in the process, we got to spend a day with the coolest couple. Our day was packed with fun and adventure: after an early morning drive into the park, we met up with them at Tunnel View for a cute little first look, then headed to Cathedral Beach where about a dozen of their closest friends & family gathered for the wedding ceremony. Afterwards, we regrouped at Glacier Point and then made the hike over to Taft Point where we all braved the cold for the sunset to peek out for a brief minute — which is all we needed for some epic sunset photos. Josh and Katelyn’s proposal story was a super unique and special one: they went out for a nice dinner together, and when they came back to their apartment, Josh proposed in the middle of their apartment with a wall of memories surrounding them. He had sneakily printed out lots of their photos that he had collected over the years and built a hanging garden of photos, full of their past together, suspended by strings attached to the ceiling. Brandon had been preparing for this moment for months — he envisioned his proposal to Sabrina to be perfectly set up, at the perfect location, and timed right at sunset. He was concerned about fog (it is the month of Fogust, after all), and to mitigate the risk, he chose a location up in the Berkeley fire trails. As luck would play out, it did end up being very foggy that day… but because of the great location choice, his proposal would happen well above that thick sea of fog down below, making an incredible scene.
