Ryan followed Catherine to California from Omaha over a year ago. He just moved back to Omaha the weekend after our photo shoot, and this time, Catherine will follow him there. They decided to have their save-the-date photos taken at Baker Beach to document their wonderful journey together here in the Bay Area. We strolled around Baker Beach for some fun photo time with Doug, Liz, and their handsome Corgi mix, Tank. Doug and Liz are an outdoorsy couple who love craft beer, so for their engagement session, we photographed them sitting on the beach watching the sunset, drinking their beloved craft beer in front of the Golden Gate Bridge, and running around playing with Tank! Van & Matt met when they were at Stanford (David’s alma mater!) and are getting married next April. They’re an active and outdoorsy couple and because they love hiking, we went to Thornton Beach in Daly City to take some photos on the hike and at the beach. This post starts with some romantic photos on the beach and then shows some fun shots on our hike. Congratulations Van and Matt!

This is a special session for us. We were originally contacted by Anu’s sister to give Dhanesh and Anu a “save-the-date session” because this lovely couple is getting married this December in India. An hour before the session we got a call from Anu’s sister telling us there was a last-minute change of plan — Dhanesh was going to surprise Anu with a ring! We were sooo excited and rerouted to get this couple some roses 🙂 We told Anu for the first set of photos we wanted them to stand back to back with their eyes closed, and when Anu turned around and found out what was really going on, she was in complete shock.
