Engagement Hill (a stone’s throw from Sausalito) is a bit less well-known than the other trails and lookouts along the Marin Headlands, but it’s an absolutely stunning location, offering a sweeping view of the nearby hills, the San Francisco Bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. It’s a bit of a trek up to the top of Slackers Hill, but this didn’t bother Ben and Cessna the slightest bit. In fact, before dinner last weekend, the two of them hiked the long way up — several times longer than the usual route! Jed had a planned a weekend getaway on the Mendocino coast with Katie, and originally he was going to kick it off by proposing to her once they had arrived. As the plan solidified though, he eventually decided to do it at the beginning of their trip so that they could fully enjoy their wine tasting and glamping trip as an engaged couple.
