Lisa & Zach’s Micro-Wedding at Filoli Gardens

Lisa and Zach’s micro-wedding at Filoli Gardens was intimate, relaxed, and full of wonderful little moments. With only their closest family and friends gathered around them, and surrounded by lush greenery and happy tears, they chose to exchange their vows in the High Place garden.

After the ceremony, their small guest count left us plenty of time to stroll through Filoli together, including a quiet moment at the Garden House where Lisa and Zach exchanged private vows with just each other. One of the perks of their wedding experience was getting access to a few areas we normally can’t shoot at, including the reflecting pool at the Sunken Garden! There were beautiful little corners everywhere we turned, and I was happy we could make great use of it all.

Their celebration continued that evening at the Stanford Park Hotel, where their larger group of family and friends joined them for dinner. The reception was intentionally simple and low-key, which left Lisa and Zach plenty of time to actually be with everyone who had come to celebrate them. There were hugs, laughter, a very cute cake-cutting moment, and no shortage of conversations around the tables.

I just loved how close and warm everyone and everything felt. Lisa and Zach skipped a lot of the usual wedding-day fuss and focused instead on what mattered to them: getting married somewhere beautiful and spending the day with the people they love most. It was such a sweet celebration to be a part of!
