Alyssa & Zach’s Elopement at Partington Cove in Big Sur

After their beautiful engagement session at Filoli Gardens, we couldn’t wait to see Alyssa and Zach again. This time, it was for something even more magical: an intimate elopement at Partington Cove, tucked away on the wild, rugged cliffs of Big Sur.

Alyssa and Zach chose a celebration with only the bare essentials: just the two of them, their officiant Donna, and us. They found the perfect spot at the end of a quiet trail, where the sea stretched as far as the eye could see and, aside from us, served as their only witness.

As the late afternoon sun cast a golden glow, Zach and Alyssa held hands and took in the moment, her long veil flowing in the breeze while her dress caught the light beautifully. Together, they stood at the edge of the world, exchanging heartfelt vows just to each other. There were so many tender details that we (and our cameras) loved, like their oathing stone marked with their initials and date that each held while giving vows, and the sheer joy on their faces after their first kiss as husband and wife. Even though this was a simple ceremony, every moment felt profoundly meaningful and special.

After their vows and ring exchange, Alyssa and Zach wandered the cliffs hand-in-hand, savoring the ocean air and the intimacy of the day. They danced atop the rocks, waded through stones, and embraced with the crashing surf behind them to mark their new chapter together.
